After moving to Boise in 2013, Ev Hadden turned her focus to music, inspired by the city's art-centric culture and thriving music scene. Over the years, she has grown to appreciate more and more the value of a strong community, so her creative work also includes a component of using the arts to connect, encourage, and heal people.

Ev is a member of Soundwell Boise, a musical group specializing in sound baths -- meditative music performed with the intent to bring deep relaxation and peaceful contemplation. Much of their music is improvised, so each sound bath is unique. Many audio recordings and videos of Soundwell Boise's performances are available online.

Ev is also passionate about blues music. In addition to hosting a weekly blues radio show called The Juke Joint, she co-hosts local blues jams on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 2-5pm at Brown Beard Brewing. She spent several years on the Boise Blues Society's Board of Directors, working to encourage homegrown blues music highlighting female performers and sparse styles, and currently works with the Idaho Blues Society on various projects, including occasional Blues in the Schools programs.
